Mark W. Murphy, 50
Mark W. Murphy passed away on Sunday, January 10 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville..
Mark was born in Denville and lived in Lake Hiawatha all of his life.
He worked at Flash Global Logistics Inc in Pine Brook as a Logistics Service Representative.
Mark was pre-deceased by his mother Theresa F. (nee- DeMarino) who passed away on January 29, 2002.
Survivors include his two brothers: Charles V. and his wife, Karen of Stroudsburg Pa. and Michael L. of Lake Hiawatha; his three sisters: Frances M. Wingardner and her husband, William of Paeonian Springs, Va., Christine R. Congdon of Whippany and Thomasina Brescia and her husband, Michael of Hackettstown; his aunt, Mary Rose DeMarino of Ramsey; his beloved pet, Harley; his two cousins; his best friend and neighbor Steve Vercelli; his three nieces and seven nephews and four great nieces and two great nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered on Wednesday, January 13, at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church. 179 Baldwin Road. Cremation: Private. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to a local animal shelter.
Christina M. Shirkey, 73
Christina M. (nee-O’Neill) Shirkey, passed away on Thursday, January 7 at her home. She was born and raised in Manhattan. She lived in Parsippany for 40 years before residing in both Lincoln Park and Melbourne, Florida for the past 10 years.
Christina was a loving and dedicated homemaker. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Robert E. who passed away on November 21, 2006.Survivors include her devoted children: Robert and his wife, Tina of Flanders, Kenneth and his wife, Jennifer of Montville, Maribeth Hastings & her husband, John of Parsippany, Susan Walsh and her husband, John of Succasunna and Eileen Koonjy and her husband, Kevin of Montville; her dear sister, Mary Smith of Melbourne, Fla.; and her 17 cherished grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended her Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church. 179 Baldwin Road. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers please makes donations in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148-0552. Helen M. Carhart, 82
Helen M. (nee-Flynn) Carhart passed away on Sunday, January 3 at Troy Hills Center/Genesis Elder Care in Parsippany.
She was born and raised in Brooklyn before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1957.
Helen was a registered nurse for many different hospitals and nursing homes in New York and New Jersey before retiring.
She was a former member of the Lake Hiawatha Seniors Club.
Helen was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, James who passed away on October 15, 2008.
Survivors include her loving son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Brenda; her 3 cherished grandchildren: John, Michael and Laura; and her numerous friends in the area. Arrangements were under the direction of the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road.
Sandra (nee-David) Capobianco
Sandra (nee-David) Capobianco of Lake Hiawatha passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7 at Compassionate Care Hospice Center, Dover, with her daughters at her side.
She was born and raised in Orange before moving to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany fifty years ago.
Sandy enjoyed crocheting, bingo, and Atlantic City trips with friends.
Sandy was pre-deceased by her daughter, Jacqueline who passed away on July 6, 1970 and her husband, Patrick on October 5, 2007.
Survivors include her devoted children: Michelle Riegel and her husband Ron of Hopatcong, Janine Rizzo of Parsippany, and Marlene DiPrimo of Rockaway; and her six cherished grandchildren: Ronnie, Danny, Neesy, Maddie, Corey, and Taylor.
Sandy is also survived by her brother Charles Petrozzino and her sister Cheryl Keenun.
