Lake Parsippany Open House

Lake Parsippany resident Ginny Roberts, Mayor James Barberio and District 26 Assemblywoman Betty Lou De Croce were among the many guests at the Lake Parsippany Open House on Saturday, June 2. Bomb Threat


An employee of Sun Chemical located at 35 Waterview Boulevard phoned Parsippany Police via 9-1-1 at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29 and reported receiving an anonymous threat from a caller who stated that there were bombs placed around the building. Parsippany Police responded along with Morris County Sheriff’s Department K-9 and Bomb Squads. The building was evacuated on the authorization of building management and access to Waterview Boulevard from Parsippany Boulevard and Route 46 was closed. Subsequent to an investigation, the Morris County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad declared the scene safe.

Golf Classic to benefit Scholarships

There is still time to participate in the GFWC Woman’s Club of Parsippany Troy Hills 31st Annual Scholarship Golf Classic/Bridge Luncheon, at the Knoll West Country Club.  The “Tee Off” for Education event will be held Tuesday, July 10. The cost for the Golfers is still only $100.00, which includes, a Golf Cart and Green Fees, Continental Breakfast, Hot lunch, Door Prizes and Golf Giveaways.  If you are not a golfer and would like to join us, bring some friends to play cards and enjoy the Continental Breakfast, Hot Lunch and Door Prizes for only $35.00.   Scholarships for students from Parsippany High and Parsippany Hills will benefit from this fundraiser.  Come and enjoy the day, while supporting the Woman’s Club scholarship fund. The Morris County Board of Elections reminds all poll workers that time is running out for them to take certification training if they want to continue to work.

 

The deadline, according to Tony Desimore, the county's poll worker training coordinator is June 2.

 

Under the law if poll workers go to work at the poll this year without having attended a class, they will only receive $50.00 for the day instead of $200.00.
